Why now, not later

Winter is laser season.

Not because it sounds nice. Because the science is simple: after laser resurfacing, your skin is temporarily more vulnerable to the sun. Lower winter UV means safer healing. It's the one time of year when the weather is actually working with you, not against you.

Lower UV

Significantly reduces the risk of post-treatment pigment problems while skin heals.

Easier aftercare

Shorter days and less outdoor time make it simpler to protect healing skin.

More comfortable

Less heat and sweat means a more comfortable, manageable recovery.

Time the payoff

Treat now, and your skin is already renewing by the time spring events arrive.

The Treatment

What Frax Glow actually does

A gentle fractional CO₂ laser treatment that refreshes texture and tone, finished with a Klardie R+ skin booster. Book now, and your skin is renewing while the weather is on your side.

The Fraxis Duo CO₂ laser system in the Facelove Medispa treatment room

Fractional grid

Thousands of tiny, precisely spaced beams treat only a fraction of the surface at a time.

Untouched bridges

Healthy skin left between each beam is what drives a fast, controlled recovery.

Shorter downtime

Recovery is quicker than older fully-ablative resurfacing treatments.

Booster absorbs

Freshly resurfaced skin drinks in the Klardie R+ serum applied straight after.

Suitability

Is this right for you?

Frax Glow isn't for everyone, and that's by design. A consultation is required to assess your skin and confirm whether this treatment is the right fit. Here's who tends to suit it, and who doesn't.

It may suit you if you...

  • +Want a noticeable refresh in skin quality, not a dramatic transformation
  • +Are bothered by dullness, texture, or uneven tone that's crept in
  • +Have fine lines or early signs of ageing you'd like to address
  • +Have sun damage or pigmentation from summers past
  • +Are planning ahead for a spring or summer event
  • +Can commit to sun protection during recovery

It may not suit you if you...

  • Can't commit to sun protection during the healing window
  • Have active breakouts or certain skin conditions
  • Are looking for a guaranteed or risk-free outcome
  • Want immediate results with zero downtime
  • Are under 18
  • Have a skin type that may be prone to pigment changes

A consultation is required to determine suitability. Not everyone will be a candidate. We will assess your skin, discuss the risks and aftercare in detail, and advise whether Frax Glow is appropriate for you.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is Frax Glow?

Frax Glow is a gentle fractional CO₂ laser resurfacing treatment performed on the Fraxis Duo system, finished with a Klardie R+ post-laser skin booster. It's tuned to a lighter setting that refreshes the skin surface and encourages renewal with manageable downtime.

How is this different from a deeper laser resurfacing?

Frax Glow uses a gentler setting rather than aggressive deep resurfacing. Because the fractional laser treats only a fraction of the skin surface per pass, leaving untreated bridges of healthy skin, recovery is quicker than older fully-ablative treatments.

What is the downtime?

Expect redness, a sandpaper-like texture and light flaking or peeling in the days following treatment as the surface renews. Skin is warm and pink or flushed immediately after, like sunburn. Skin is actively healing and sun-sensitive during this window.

I have an event coming up. When should I book?

Results build over the weeks following treatment as the skin renews and lays down new collagen. If you have a spring or summer event, winter is the ideal time to book your consultation. We will discuss timing for your specific event at your consultation.

What are the risks?

All cosmetic procedures carry risks. Possible risks include prolonged redness, temporary or longer-lasting pigment changes, breakouts, infection, and rarely scarring. Risk varies with skin type. Redness, swelling, dryness, flaking and temporary sensitivity are expected parts of recovery. Risks and aftercare will be discussed at your consultation.

How long will it take to see results?

Results build over the following weeks as the skin renews and lays down new collagen. Many people see improvement over a short course of sessions. Individual results vary depending on your skin, your concern and the number of sessions.

Why winter?

After laser resurfacing the skin is temporarily more vulnerable to the sun. Lower winter UV significantly reduces the risk of post-treatment pigment problems while skin heals. Shorter days and less outdoor time also make it easier to protect healing skin and follow aftercare.

Is everyone a suitable candidate?

No. A consultation and assessment is required to determine whether Frax Glow is suitable for you. Not everyone will be a candidate. Some people may not be suitable based on skin type, current skin condition, or ability to commit to sun protection during recovery.

Where are you based?

Facelove Medispa, G04/173 Barkly St, St Kilda VIC 3182, Melbourne. We are easy to find, with convenient parking available for all clients.
